New Biggest Loser Trainers

Biggest Loser Trainers

One of the things to watch for tonight will be the new trainers. Jillian Michaels has left the Biggest Loser in search of a newer lifestyle which has left a big hole to fill. This season we have two trainers that will try to fill Jillians shoes. Dolvett Quince, a personal trainer from Atlanta and Anna Kournikova, a former top 10 pro tennis player and Maxim cover model. They may be good or bad but just like a few seasons ago with Kim Lyons and last season with Cara Castronuova and Brett Hoebel. One of these two new trainers may stick but you never know. Bob Harper has said in the past that we will stay until they get rid of him. He loves the show.

Anna Kournikova New Biggest Loser Trainer

I am sure that this will come as a surprise to many people but Anna Kournikova, one of the top professional tennis players of the 1990s is now the new Biggest Loser trainer taking over from Jillian Michaels.

Anna Kournikova New Biggest Loser Trainer

Anna Kournikova New Biggest Loser Trainer

Anna Kournikova had a very successful career as a pro tennis player although she has a very strange stat that although she spent as much time in the top 10 as she did in mans magazines she somehow did not ever win a pro tennis tournament at the top level.

Although not a trainer as we would expect on the Biggest Loser, Anna Kournikova has written a book on training your body.

Anna Kournikova New Biggest Loser Trainer

Anna Kournikova’s hiring is part of a bigger change in the way that the Biggest Loser is as a show, which is finishing its 11th season tonight. Todd Lubin, an executive producer of “The Biggest Loser,” said that next season will see the show “getting slightly away from just the tape measure, and getting into overall well being and health. That’s where Biggest Loser needs to go.”

Mr. Lubin said he and the other producers “intentionally tried to not replace” Jillian Michaels, who announced late last year that the eleventh season would be her last.

This season we saw two people aduitioning for the spot of new trainer as we all knew that Jillian Michaels was leaving the Biggest Loser after this season but apparently Cara Castranouva and Brett Hoebel where not who the People running the Biggest Loser wanted as the new trainer.

So my question now is, what does Anna Kournikova know about training others? How good will she be? And most importantly to me how will the chemistry between Anna Kournikova and Bob Harper be?

The next season is starting soon so I guess we will have those questions answered soon. In the meantime let me know what your idea is of the direction the show has to go and what Anna Kournikova new Biggest Loser Trainer will bring to the show.

Cardio Tennis

Cardio Tennis

As we all know tennis is great exercise for brief periods of time. When I was younger I played a lot of tennis and really enjoyed the sport becase of the competition, skill, startegy and also because it was the funnest way that I knew of to get some good exercise. If you play tennis for an hour you could expect to burn 500 calories if you were running you would burn over 1100 calories so tennis is not the best workout from a caloric burning standpoint.

Enter Cardio Tennis.

I was listening to a interview on an online health radio station today and heard a great interview with on of the people involved with Cardio Tennis.

Cardio Tennis is a series of drills that you do as a group that instead of really correcting your game instead the goal is to make you burn more calories. Cardio Tennis was recognized at the US Open tennis championships last year and is a great new way of getting great exercise and still having a lot of fun. If you are a tennis player already then Cardio Tennis si a great way to improve your fitness and stamina for your game. If you are not a tennis player then you get a nice hard workout and because of the way the workout is set up you will not have to be a good player to start with.

The website has a fair amount of information on the workouts and there are certified trainers that can get you started and conduct classes
