Emirates’ new Boeing 777 first class product to debut in Europe

Emirates on Monday confirmed that its first two Boeing 777-300ER aircraft fitted with its soon-to-launch First Class product will operate from Dubai to the airline’s Belgian and Swiss destinations starting from December 1, 2017.

Prior to entering commercial service, the first Emirates aircraft to feature the new private suites will be on display at the Dubai Airshow between November 12-16, following a product reveal on the first day of the show.

Operating one of the two daily flights from Dubai to Geneva, travellers can enjoy the new product on flight EK083 departing Dubai at 1450 hours, arriving in Geneva at 1855 hours. The return flight EK084 leaves Geneva at 2040 hours, arriving back at Dubai International Airport at 0605 hours the following day. For travellers heading to or from Belgium, the new product will be available on flight EK183 which leaves Dubai at 0820 hours, arriving in Brussels at 1245 hours. The return flight EK184 leaves Brussels at 1435 hours, arriving at Emirates Terminal Three in Dubai at 0015 hours the following day.

Nine Kuwait-bound flights diverted due to heavy fog

Nine inbound planes to Kuwait International Airport were diverted to nearby airports today due to heavy fog, the Civil Aviation Authority Public Administration said on Tuesday.

The administration told Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, that weather conditions improved after 8:30am local time, and inbound flights returned to normal, adding that the nine diverted planes in the early hours this morning landed in Dubai, Bahrain, and Dammam, and the flights are going to be rescheduled for later in the day.

Dubai Shopping Festival opening date announced

Dubai Tourism announced on Wednesday the opening date for one of the most popular shopping events in the world – the Dubai Shopping Festival.

According to a tweet by Dubai Tourism, the month long festival will begin on December 26, 2017 and end on January 27, 2018.

DSF brings a month-long extravaganza that transforms the city with pop-up fashion shows, fireworks displays, mega sales and much more.

Residents and visitors can head to Market OTB at Burj Park to pick up items from emerging designers and learn celebrity makeup tips and tricks.

With a jam-packed calendar of events and raffles, this grand Dubai event offers something for everyone.

12-hour Sale

The Dubai Shopping Festival will kick off with an awesome 12-hour sale on day one of DSF (December 26).

The sale will offer shoppers additional discounts on already marked down sale prices across six citywide Majid Al Futtaim Malls.

The 12-hour sale is unique to DSF and will take place from 12pm to 12am at select outlets throughout the city.
