I get this question all the time so I sent this email out to the members of my Get fit Now fitness list and thought that I would post it on the blog as I wanted to answer the question that I see a lot.

Anyway to get ready for Spring and getting out in shorts and a t-shirt many people think now about losing some weight. Trying to lose weight be it 10 pounds, 20 pounds or even 30 pounds or more can be difficult for you.

I know for a fact (from the emails I get all the time) that if you are finding that you are losing and gaining the same 20 pounds year after year that you are not alone.

The question that people just like you are always asking is:

“What to eat to lose weight?”

Taking a day of your diet is good. A diet is a great example of having commitment to what you want and I applaud anyone and everyone that does a good job of committing themselves to staying healthy with a good diet. The trouble is trying to stay on a diet every day for months or years on end. This is what people aspire to but it is not very easy to do.

Cheating day on a diet confuses your metabolism

A few diets seem to say that you should try to confuse your body by staying on your diet for a few days or a couple of weeks at most and then getting off your diet for anywhere from one to three days. What do you think of this? Well the idea behind the days off on a diet is that you need to confuse your body so that it does not just adjust to lower caloric intake or just lower your metabolism to maintain fat levels.

Would you like to know examples of off day diets? There is a Weight Watchers diet adjustment that involves changing the amount of points you eat a day and cycling though these.   2. First of all you need a good regimen for your diet days and then for your days off the rules should be about how you cheat.
  3. Try to make sure that you are not being ridiculous because it is your day off. Do not eat a whole large pizza or a gallon of ice cream.
  4. Do not binge, no huge meals just meals that make you comfortably full
  5. This is the day that you go to a restaurant if you want.
  6. Do not eat three days worth of food in one day. The idea is that you can cheat but you don’t want to spend the whole week just catching up.

I hope that this plan for days off helps. I know that I have struggled with this in the past but the best thing is to just expand on your regular diet and at the same time make sure that get to eat those things that you are craving, in small measures of course.

Fat Loss 4 Idiots main point is eating 4 smaller meals a day to increase the speed of your metabolism, while integrating exercise and drinking more water every day. Is there any danger in following their plan? No, how ever if you took it to the extreme and didn’t follow their meal recommendations you would be pretty hungry, and possibly light headed.

No diet plan whether it be Fat loss 4 idiots or any other are designed to be kept up for the long term. Instead they should be used to lose the weight, and a modified version of the plan should be introduced once you achieve your goal weight and want to maintain. What should I expect from Fat Loss 4 Idiots?

So the almighty question, what type of results can you expect to achieve using Fat Loss 4 Idiots. Well, I wouldn’t get your hopes up on losing the 9 pounds in 11 days their sales letter states. How ever if you work the plan they give you, use their website to plan your meals you will lose weight in those first 11 days, and you’ll lose more weight in the next 11 day cycle and so on and so fourth.

Their plan focuses on taking over the entire questionable part of dieting. What do I eat? Instead they tell you exactly what you should be eating and for each meal of the day. Of course Fat Loss for Idiots tells you to exercise each day, drink more water, reduce alcohol intake and a few other important tips. All in all, it’s a solid plan that will work, maybe just not as well as they hype it up on their website.
