My wife found the following recipe for a type of cereal bar, I really like cereal bars so I was looking forward to trying this one out.

In the end I have been easily able to keep myself away from the chocolate and pop by having just a few morsels of this great cereal bar.

Is Biggest Loser Wrong?

This will make you think, Is Biggest Loser Wrong? Almost everyone knows about the biggest loser – that reality show/ loss contest on TV where over people people drop ridiculous amount of – like 15 or 20 lbs in a week, and 150 or 200 lbs by the time the show is over.

Earlier this year, Tom Venuto and the guys at over at the Burn the Fat websites completed their first ever body transformation challenge contest.

But their contest was NOTHING like the biggest loser.

In fact, Josh Ketter, the overall men’s winner, and Ryan Cochrane, one of the finalists, only lost a pound.

Is Biggest Loser Wrong

Is Biggest Loser Wrong

Now, you must be thinking, “what the heck kind of weird  body transformation contest were they running where the winner and the finalists only drop a pound?

Well, it would seem weird if you thought that success at body transformation meant dropping on the scale. But did you ever stop to think about the difference between fat and muscle ?

Think about it – if those contestants on the biggest loser gain muscle – they get penalized, right?

Shouldn’t contestants be REWARDED for gaining muscle as well as burning fat?

That’s the problem with loss contests today and with a lot of popular diet and fitness programs – they’re obsessed with scale but they don’t pay any attention to body composition (the fat-to-muscle ratio).

Of course, some of the contestants in that contest did drop a lot of fat – 15, 20, even 25 lbs in only 50 days.

But the person who dropped the most pounds was NOT necessarily voted as the winner.

The winners were chosen because they made tremendous improvements in their body composition, even though their scale didn’t change that much.

  • Josh lost 8 pounds of fat and gained 7 pounds of muscle in just 50 days.  He only lost a pound on the scale because the muscle replaced the fat .
  • Ryan Cochrane lost 8 pounds of fat while gaining 7.7 lbs of muscle in 50 days. His hardly changed.
  • Sarah Kensington actually GAINED a pound, from 119 to 120 but her body fat decreased from 19% to a ripped 12.6%. Thats a 7.9 pound GAIN in lean body mass and a 7 pound loss of body fat – remarkable for a MAN, almost unheard of for a woman!

You could see from their before and after photos that even though their changed by less than a pound, they TOTALLY TRANSFORMED THEIR BODIES!

Is Biggest Loser Wrong? How?  These people gained muscle and lost fat at the same time!

Maybe you’re thinking, “wait a minute, I thought it was impossible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time? Don’t you need a calorie deficit to burn fat and a calorie surplus to build muscle?”

That would defintiely make you question the TV Show. Is Biggest Loser Wrong?

Well, yes and no. Calories do matter, but according to fat loss expert Tom Venuto, the guy who sponsored the recent body transformation contest, it’s much more complicated than that because of things like hormonal fluctuations and “energy partitioning.”

It was these “unusual” contest results that prompted Tom to dig into the scientific research on concurrent muscle gain and fat loss and create a new program around it that he calls:

THE HOLY GRAIL BODY TRANSFORMATION SYSTEM: How to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time”

It’s refreshing that Tom does not B.S. you about about the kind of results you can get. In fact, he clearly states that losing fat while simultaneously gaining muscle is the most difficult goal to achieve.

That’s why people call it the “holy grail”; because it’s so elusive.

But “difficult” doesn’t mean “impossible.” It’s totally possible to lose fat while gaining muscle at the same time, if you have the right plan.

You may have heard this subject debated before on blogs or discussion forums. Those debates probably left you confused and not sure what to believe either.

This new “Holy Grail” program sets the record straight and makes you question

Is Biggest Loser Wrong?

It’s impressively referenced with peer-reviewed research and frankly, it just makes sense.

Most people are skeptical about this at first. But when you see BOTH; real-world case studies AND the scientific proof, it makes you want to stop and take a look.

Since this program was just released, Tom is has a great offer going until this Friday, where you have the chance to grab 4 Limited-Time Bonuses:

5 Natural Ways to Fight Off Eczema

If you suffer from eczema, you want and need to seek relief. You may opt for expensive over-the-counter products or try prescriptions recommended by your doctor. These may work, but don’t discount natural ways to fight off eczema. Luckily, there are many natural remedies that have proven effective for treating eczema, 5 of which are outlined below.

Natural Remedy for Eczema #1  – Bathe Properly

Proper bathing and showering is key to not only treating eczema, but preventing more outbreaks. Most medical professionals recommend short showers or baths. Lukewarm water with no bath bubbles is advised.

Eczema suffers should also limit the amount of scented shampoo, conditioner, and soap they use. Opt for all-natural or organic instead. Although not necessarily an all-natural cure, lotions and creams should be applied immediately following a bath or shower to lock in the moisture.

Natural Remedy for Eczema #2 – Drink Plenty of Water

Lukewarm baths and showers have their benefits because they moisturize the skin. Lotions and creams can help keep this moisture locked in. Don’t just moisture your body from the outside, but the inside too.

The most natural and easiest way to do so is to drink lots of water. Keep your body hydrated and it will help your skin, making eczema easier to manage.

Natural Remedy for Eczema #3 – Take Oatmeal Baths

oatmeal bath for eczemaAbove it was stated that short baths and showers are recommended. The only exception to this is when oatmeal is used. Oatmeal tends to have a calming effect on the skin.

There are all-natural oatmeal bath product sold at most department stores and drug stores, but you can easily make your own mixture. Honestly, the oatmeal sold at supermarkets will do. Add two or three cups to a bathtub filled with lukewarm water.

Natural Remedy for Eczema #4 – Watch What You Need

Watching what you eat is a natural way to fight off eczema. Unfortunately, you may run into some problems. You want to eat skin healthy foods, but some of these foods may trigger an outbreak or flare-up. For example, fruits are known to help against premature aging, but seeded fruits are a common eczema cause.

You should keep a daily log of your food and drink consumption. Use this to determine what you ate or drank before each outbreak. If you notice a pattern, permanently adjusting your eating habits.

Natural Remedy for Eczema #5 – Use All Natural Supplements

All-natural supplements have proven helpful in many eczema patients. In fact, some swear by them. What you want to do is research natural supplements that can help treat or cure eczema. Good examples include fish oil, vitamin E, and vitamin C. Then, work on adding these supplements into your diet.

Do so slowly and one at a time, so you know which works and which doesn’t. Supplements come in over-the-counter format, but most are found naturally in foods too.
