Which Weight Loss Diet Is Right For Me?

Which Weight Loss Diet? It’s a bit overwhelming, don’t you think? There are so many weight loss diet programs being “peddled” over the internet, it’s enough to make you not want to try any of them! Of course, this only leaves you feeling miserable about your body, as well as stuck in indecision. Clearly, inaction isn’t the answer, either. So what is? This article will answer this question very clearly.

While our bodies aren’t so rigid that only one approach can work to get rid of stubborn body fat, there are unquestionably weight loss diet programs with much higher success rates than the others. If properly followed, the low-calorie lifestyle is among the most effective diet models of all time. But there are a few others that produce consistent, predictable results as well. Here is a list of the top 3…

Which Weight Loss Diet?

Which Weight Loss Diet Is Right For Me?

Which Weight Loss Diet

1. The Paleo, or “Caveman” Diet. This is basically the process of eating nothing but natural food, including fruits, vegetables, meat, raw nuts, sprouts, etc. You basically eat the way our ancestors ate… you know, back before obesity, heart disease, and cancer were all just a way of life. Also look into “the Diet Solution Program.”

2. The Raw Food Diet. Adhering to this lifestyle is akin to a person joining a Buddhist monastery. It is all or nothing, and you must commit yourself to it 100% – virtually turning it into a major part of your identity. This dietary lifestyle consists of consuming ONLY uncooked produce. Raw nuts, seeds, cold pressed oils, fruits, vegetables, and fresh herbs will pretty much make up your entire diet.

Fresh squeezed juice is commonplace with this diet, as are blended sauces, dressings, and dips. I recently saw one that consisted of tomato, avocado, basil, and jalapeno. It was used as a dip for raw broccoli. If you want to go extreme, and lose A LOT of weight, this may be a lifestyle plan worth considering.

3. The Mediterranean Diet. This is a lot like the Paleo Diet, but with a more limited menu. This diet is comprised mainly of healthy fats, lean protein, and fresh produce. Chiefly, this weight loss diet relies heavily upon olive oil, fish, and crisp greens. I would say the intensity of this diet falls somewhere between the first two.

You really can’t go wrong with any of these 3 eating plans. By far the Paleo Diet and Diet Solution Program are the easiest to stick with long-term, while the Mediterranean Diet is considered by many to be the healthiest of these three options. Supporters of the Raw Food movement would argue with this, however, claiming that animal products and cooked foods lack the enzymes and electrical output necessary to live at the very highest level possible.

Whichever weight loss diet you choose, please take the time to discuss your choice with a health care practitioner you trust, just for extra piece of mind and maybe even some really good advice of which weight loss diet that can help you get even greater results.

Raw Food Diet – Do You Think You Can Handle It?

Arguably one of the healthiest eating plans on the planet, the Raw Food Diet is anything but “casually applied.” This particular way of eating is more a way of life than it is a diet. If you’re considering taking the plunge yourself, be sure to read every word of this article, as it will reveal what this diet entails, and what is required of you to have success with it.

Raw Food Diet – Do You Think You Can Handle It?

The Raw Food Diet is exactly what the name suggests. It is a diet that consists primarily (75% – 100%) of raw vegetables, herbs, sprouts, nuts, seeds, and fruits. You can have basically any variety of these things, but they must never be heated to over 116 degrees fahrenheit, as this will end up destroying valuable enzymes and fiber.

You are encouraged to own and utilize a juicer. In fact, it will become one of your very best friends on this lifestyle plan, as you can end up drinking several glasses of juice each day. Fresh fruit and/or vegetable juice makes the absolute ideal breakfast, as it provides a mega burst of healthy energy, yet requires almost zero energy to digest.

As you can imagine, this diet takes an incredibly strong commitment. In addition to changing the foods you consume, you will most assuredly need to transform the way you think. Your relationship with food will change, as well. You will no longer be eating for comfort or to get full, but to fuel up and energize your cells.

Yes, the commitment is huge, but if you are one of the few who are able to make the transformation into the Raw Food Diet, the rewards will absolutely astound you. For one, you will feel happier, more vibrant, and ambitious. Naturally, the pounds will just melt off your body, creating a leaner and lighter you. Your mind will become crystal clear, your memory enhanced, and your skin radiant and blemish-free. Several men and women suffering from hair loss have reported hair regrowth by going raw.

The Raw Food Diet also frees you from fear. Your chances of becoming seriously ill go way down, as your immune system becomes stronger and stronger. And while I’m not here to make any medical claims of any kind, most professionals agree that a diet high in raw, fiber-rich, water-rich foods can actually extend your life… possibly by a lot!

Obviously, the Raw Food Diet won’t appeal to everyone. It’s one of the most “extreme” eating plans on the planet, even beating out veganism (essentially, this is a vegan diet, but even more extreme, as the vegan lifestyle still allows for the cooking process). If you think you can hack it, though, I would highly encourage you to do some serious research and learn as much as you can. Prepare yourself. And then give the raw food diet your very best effort!

The Raw Food Detox Diet

Interested in trying raw food without wanting to go raw for the rest of your life? A raw food detox diet may be the answer.

The raw food detox diet is reported to have many benefits. People who eat 100% raw food all of the time have said that they notice improvements in many health conditions. In addition, most people who were overweight will lose weight on a raw food diet, although this does depend on what you choose to eat.

When detoxing, as you probably know, most people have some side effects. They may include headaches, joint pain, nasal congestion and other symptoms. This happens because many toxins that were previously stored in fat cells in the body are suddenly released into the bloodstream for processing and excretion.

Because of this, it is best to follow a raw food detox diet for around 10 days. You can expect symptoms in the first 5-7 days. After that, you may begin to feel more benefits. Of course, you should have medical supervision before beginning any diet.

What To Eat On A Raw Food Detox Diet

Here are some suggestions for your daily menu on a raw detox.

Raw Food Detox Breakfast

Green fruit smoothie.

Mix any fruit in the blender with some lettuce or spinach leaves for a classic delicious green smoothie. Adding the greens makes it more nutritious. You can also use celery or cucumber with most fruit. One of my favorites is pineapple and fennel bulb. Use up to two types of fruit and one vegetable: you will not want too many different flavors.

Or: Banana, half avocado and raw cacao powder smoothie.

This is a more filling option. The addition of cacao powder can give you a huge energy boost to get you started in the morning.

Raw Food Detox Lunch

Any combination of salad vegetables, plus a handful of raw nuts or seeds.

Be adventurous with your vegetables: you do not need to stick to only the standard salad. For a dressing you can use extra virgin olive oil and live vinegar, or blend tomato juice with avocado or nut butter.

Or: grated or finely chopped carrot or butternut squash with nut mylk (or nut butter mixed with a little water) and a handful of pumpkin seeds.

Raw Food Detox Dinner

The choices are endless when you have a little more time to prepare a meal. Check out any raw food website or cookbook for a huge variety of delicious recipes. Repeat your favorites by all means, but make sure to change it up from time to time with new recipes.

What Not To Eat On A Raw Food Detox Diet

Of course, if you are following a raw food detox diet, you would not eat anything cooked. This includes anything that has been processed or heated before it reaches your kitchen, such as dairy products which have been pasteurized. It also includes hot drinks like coffee (which is anyway produced from roasted beans).

To be sure, and also to increase the effect of the detox, many people decide only to use fresh whole fruits and vegetables in a raw detox. This means no dried foods and no oils or added fats. Some even cut out nuts. If you are going to do that, however, you should not do it for more than 10 days. Nuts and seeds contain many essential fats and minerals that are vital for a longer term raw food diet.
