Reasons Why Treadmill Workouts Are Great Exercise

Treadmill workouts are a very popular activity, but why teadmill workouts you may wonder? While it is true that exercises come with many benefits, not all of us are able to keep up with our regular workout routines, sometimes out of lack of time, and at other times out of plain lethargy. In this article I would offer you one workout idea which would virtually make fitness as easy as pie for you.

Why Treadmill Workouts Are Great Exercise

Treadmills are one of the most popular home exercise equipments out there. It should be in the house of anyone who cares even a little bit about their health. Okay, I know that the treadmill needs no introduction, but are you aware of all its benefits? If not, then this article is for you.

Huge time saver: Many people cannot workout regularly because of lack of time. They have a job to handle as well as a family to look after. Add social pressure to the mix and you could get an idea of how much stressed and busy an individual could be these days.

Thankfully, with treadmill workouts, lack of time won’t hinder your fitness routine. Being a home-based equipment, you can exercise whenever you want. You can choose your workout routines flexibly. For example, if you are supposed to exercise for 30 minutes per day, you could do 15 minutes of workout before going to office and the other 15 minutes just before bedtime.

Less boring and strenuous: Exercises like aerobics bore the hell out of you because you need to do them for hours in order to derive any decent benefit from them; plus they also command your concentration all the time; naturally, by the time you are finished with them, you feel as if you would never be able to repeat the exercise again.

On the other hand, if you do intense workouts like weight training, they would take much less of your time but are too strenuous for an average individual. If you have never done it before, you would find weight training and boring.

Treadmill workout is however one exercise which fits the bill perfectly for almost everyone. It is neither too boring nor strenuous. If you run or walk on the treadmill, it won’t be any different than plain walking or running on road, except that the treadmill workout would command much less attention and time from you than the latter. Being less demanding compared to other exercises, it doesn’t bore you either.

Secure and private: Many people feel uncomfortable at the prospect of going to a gym or hiring a fitness trainer. They believe that their proactive approach towards health and fitness would be perceived wrongly by their peers and relatives; they would think that they are doing all these in order to get rid of obesity. It is not unusual, especially at backward societies, to notice a group of people poking fun at someone who is heavy on workouts.

However, a treadmill, being secure in the privacy of your home, is safe from the prying eyes of your neighbors and buddies. You can exercise for as long as you want and whenever you want; no one would ever know about it.

Beyonce Weight Loss

I have been noticing a lot of magazine covers this week talking about Beyonce and her weight loss after having a baby. Sure Beyonce is a huge pop star so I thought I would look into it and see how she was able to get backin shape again so quickly.

According to eonline she lost her weight the old fashioned way.

Meanwhile, as for her enviable physique, Beyoncé admitted to gaining about 50 pounds during her pregnancy, but says she’s now, nearly four months after Blue’s arrival, just “three to four pounds” away from her prebaby weight. And there’s no secret as to how—just good old-fashioned hard work.

“I lost most of my weight from breast-feeding and I encourage women to do it; It’s just so good for the baby and good for yourself,” she said, noting that she breast-fed Blue for 10 weeks.

From there, she went the old-fashioned route, counting calories and working out “three to four times a week.” That, and “staying away from anything delicious.”

But as we all know in the past Beyonce has gone for a lot of different types of weight loss. People Magazine on their cover this month called Beyonce “The Most Beautiful Woman on the World” and that is a lot to live up to.

I know that also back just a few years ago Beyonce was a big proponent and supporter of the Master Cleanse, or Lemonade Diet which is a 10-14 day plan where you just drink a maple syrup, lemon, cayenne pepper and water mixture.

Besides the regular diet that she has done over the last little while she also is a very determined fitness fanatic and will spend a lot of time working out to keep that great Beyonce body. She runs up to 6 miles several times a week and does boxing workouts which provide an intensive cardio workout and endurance training, which help her to be able to perform well on tour. Beyonce does full body workouts at the gym, using weights to exercise her shoulders and biceps, bodyweight training, such as push ups, sit ups, squats and lunges to work her legs, core and chest.

How To Lose Weight With MMA Training

The thought of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) for most people brings to mind two men locked in a cage, trying to knock each other out or making the other person submit through painful joint lock or choke. However, MMA is much more than that. For example, it is a great way to lose weight and get fit. Joe Riggs, a former Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) fighter, started MMA training weighing almost 300 pounds. He made a name for himself in the UFC fighting at 170 pounds. He lost all of that weight through MMA training.

MMA Training

There are three main martial arts involved in MMA:
1. Muay Thai kickboxing
2. Wrestling
3. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ)

MMA schools typically offer courses in the individual disciplines with a combined MMA class for those who are more serious and considering actually engaging in an actual MMA fight. Because of the skill level and physical conditioning required to fight MMA, most schools will not let people train Mixed Martial Arts until they have achieved a proven ability in at least one of these three arts.

Workouts

The workout for any of these arts is intense. Students can expect a warm-up that includes a series of body-weight exercises, some with a partner and some without, that prepare the body for what it is about to face. After the warm-up comes a technique portion where the instructor teaches a skill followed by the students practicing, or drilling, the technique until they have it down. The technique portion of the class is followed by live drilling that allows the student to practice that technique against a fully resisting partner. Students who wish to focus only on the technique and not engage in the live drilling can elect to do that instead.

People who train MMA notice an improved level of conditioning pretty quickly. They are learning not only how to move their own bodies in ways that they never have before but they are learning to physically manipulate other people as well. These classes leave the individual exhausted, exhilarated and ready to come back for more. MMA students will lose weight and stay fit regardless of whether they actually decide to engage in an MMA fight or not. For those interested in fighting, understand that good MMA trainers will not let their students fight until they are capable of defending themselves in the cage.
