Another awful bust of Cristiano Ronaldo has been revealed in his honour,  but this it was made of ice and shared a striking resemblance to the previous statue at the Madeira airport last year.

Statues have been erected in Russia to represent each country that will be participating in the World Cup come June.

The display is being used for the Ledovaya Moskva festival that will take place from December 29 to January 8.

And according to Moscow Times, there are Up to 2,000 tons of ice from ‘Lake Baikal and lakes near Yekaterinburg and Arkhangelsk will be used to make the World Cup status.

The artist of the bust in Madeira was told to produce a new model but Ronaldo said he was happy and honoured upon seeing the previous statue at Madeira sometimes last year.

Wenger not interested in Aubameyang’s move to Arsenal

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has ruled out a move for Bundesliga star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports.

Wenger has sounded it that it is “not a possibility” for Arsenal despite the link of the Gabonese to Emirate Stadium to replace exit bound Alexis Sanchez.

Sanchez will be a free agent in few months’ time and Wenger is keen to let him go this January in a bid to recoup some cash from his sale.

However, when asked on Friday if Aubameyang was a possible Arsenal target, Wenger said: “No, it is not a possibility.” according to SkySport

The manager rather insisted that he want Theo Walcott to remain at the club, The England international has not played much for Arsenal this season and he been linked with a return to former club Southampton.

But Wenger said: “I want him to stay.

“I heard about that [the Southampton link] but personally I want him to stay.”

Arsenal will travel to face Nottingham Forest on Sunday for their next game in the FA Cup.

Real Madrid January target passes medical – FCNaija

Real Madrid January target Kepa Arrizabalaga has passed a medical examination at the club but a date is not yet fixed for his move to Santiago Bernabeu, according to reports.

Arrizabalaga is now free to talk to suitors who are interested in his services due to being in the final six months of his contract with the La Liga, European and World Champions interested in bringing him to Bernabeu to help solve goalkeeping issue.

It is reported that Real Madrid is set to trigger his €20m release clause in January, and reports in Spanish paper Marca says Arrizabalaga has passed his medical at the capital club and the Basque will not let off a penny of their asking price for the shot-stopper.

The 23-year-old has yet to win a cap for his national side but is now a regular deputy to David De Gea and is excelling at club level after long-standing Athletic goalkeeper Gorka Iraizoz left for Girona.

The signing of Arrizabalaga might end Real Madrid long-term pursuit of David de Gea from Manchester United.
