Real Madrid are reportedly prepping to offer Gareth Bale – a player Spurs sold them for £85m back to the North London side in a bid to land in-form Harry Kane.
The deal would amount to a £150million cash-plus-player package for the Spurs goal-machine. Spurs reluctantly sold Bale to Real four years ago for £85m and reports say they have an agreement with Los Blancos that they will be informed of any offer from another Premier League club – and have the option to match it. Manchester United have regularly been linked with Bale – and have always wanted Kane, 24. But the Daily Star Sunday understands the fear at Old Trafford is that England striker Kane will move to Madrid – with Bale possibly going the other way. There will be no deal of that nature in this transfer window. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and boss Mauricio Pochettino are adamant that Kane is staying.
