What foods should I avoid (as a vegan) lose weight?

I've been a vegan for over a year, but I see no significant weight loss (not that I'm vegan for weight loss …), And I wonder should I leave my food to see some results. Can anyone give me some ideas? And it would be nice if you had a source so I know you do not do things just over the top of your head.
  Thank you.

I think the best bet is to eat foods that are low in caloric density and high in nutrition. This means avoiding white bread, sugary desserts, fried foods, fruit juice, and processed foods. Whole grains, nuts, higher calorie fruits, and starchy vegetables (like potatoes) should be eaten in moderation. Eat as many types of beans, vegetables, and berries as you want.
Below is a handy chart of caloric ratios:

Many vegans utilize nuts of varying kinds to get protein into their diets. However, nuts also have a HUGE amount of fat (for example, an ounce of macadamia nuts has a whopping 17 grams of fat!), so if you’re keeping nuts in your diet, alternatives such as soy nuts (very hard to find, but possible; often at “organic” or specialty stores) may be an option. You didn’t mention how strictly you adhere to the vegan routine; many “vegans” are “soft” vegans, and continue to eat fish, eggs, and dairy products. If this is your case, avoid fish with any kind of breading; shellfish are a super option for avoiding fat, but you’ll need to keep an eye on the cholesterol! Also, use lower/reduced fat dairy products; reduced calorie/fat bread will also help. “Negative calorie” foods, such as raw celery, will also help (“negative” calorie = foods that it takes more calories to digest than they add to your system by eating). Also, watch the dressings your adding to salads! This is often the downfall of people thinking a “vegan” routine will automatically help them lose weight! Regular ranch, Italian, etc., will have a ton of fat per serving! Hope this helps.

The best way to be able to answer this question is “avoid anything that has a shelf life.”
Good luck on your quest.

You probably need to eat more protein and calcium. Being vegan, it is a bit difficult to get sufficient amounts of these in your diet, and both are important for natural, healthy weight loss. Your best bet would be to see a nutritionist. Start by keeping a food journal and log everything you eat.
If you don’t want to see a nutritionist, add more nuts, legumes, soy, broccoli, and spinach to your diet. You should also probably start taking a multivitamin.
